XM Radio

I love to listen to music.  When I am getting ready for an evening on the town, I play music in my bedroom.  While I am writing I have music playing quietly in the background.  Commuting to work, I have my own personal karaoke session.

Until a year and a half ago, I was content to choose from the local radio stations.  Depending on my mood, I would switch among a handful of programmed channels.  However, that all changed when I got the most wonderful Christmas gift.  I was the recipient of an XM plug and play radio.

This little delivery system of auditory joy fit compactly on my dash and offered me a whole new perspective on music.  No more choosing between the half-dozen stations that I liked, there were now six stations for each of the many types of music that I like.

Beyond the variety of music, I like that no matter where I travel, I have the same music options on the same channels.  Having become a regular traveler down the Atlantic coast, it is nice to know that whether I’m in Bridgeville, Delaware, or Litchfield, New Hampshire, I can hear my favored music without having to search.  Plus, when I am tired of singing and dancing, I can switch to a wide variety of talk radio, from sports to news to comedy and more.

I have to admit, my XM Radio is the best part of being in my car.
