My iPod Touch has gone from a nifty little extravagance to an integral part of my life. It stores all my music. It holds videos to entertain me when the doctor is running 45 minutes late. It is my alarm clock. My personal assistant. I listen to it at home and at work and in the car driving to and from work.

I use it to check the weather forecast in the morning. I use it to keep the kids occupied with games and videos. I download comic books via the Comixology app. Ask me about my kids and I’ll show you their digital pictures and maybe even a couple of home videos.

She… I mean, it… just an it… goes with me everywhere I go. My work schedule and personal schedule, in as much as they can be separated, are both contained entirely within the 16 MB memory of my little iPod Touch.

This is my second iPod. The first was the iPod photo, the last model before they went to video. That eventually wore out, but not before it reminded me that everything Apple makes ‘just works’. I was so impressed that when my PC broke down, I spent the extra money and bought the cheapest, low end Mac on the market. That was eight years ago. One operating system and two memory upgrades later it is still running.

The only problem that I’ve ever had with my Mac was when my 2 year old son shoved a Playstation disk upside down into the disk drive. Other than that – not a single crash, not one virus in eight years.

So iPod has not only revolutionized my entertainment and personal organization world, but also indirectly changed my whole computing life as well. iPod Touch is the next step in the my evolution into “Mac Guy”. And I’m loving every minute of it.

Apple’s computers are said to be the sexiest computers ever invented. But its Mac computer offers more than its looks and design. A lot of users claim that its operating system and software are a lot better than any other computer’s they had tried out. So, why do computer geeks love Mac computers, and why should you get one for yourself? Here are some reasons:

Less software required

No, don’t scratch your head. Any computer expert who knows anything about how computers work will tell you that less software on your computer is always better. It doesn’t take up as much memory space and lets the computer process information a lot faster. Apple enables you to install only a few software programs because their programs already have a variety of functions within them.

Mac Computer Runs on Windows

Mac computers are compatible with Windows, but PCs legally cannot run a Mac operating system. But if you’re using Mac computers, why would you want to use Windows? It is not really a question of wanting; it is the question of having the option. For example, if Photoshop stopped working when you used Leopard, you could install Windows on your computer to do your work.

Macs have higher “second hand” value

Selling used computers can be difficult, especially since a lot of manufacturers and online retailers are putting their computers up for sale. Inevitably you will have to price your computer a lot lower in order to close a sale. The PC market is already crowded but people are willing to pay more for a Mac.
