Well, it’s not literally a pet, but it is a mouse!
With a receiver that is just barely larger than a nickel, my Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse is easily
one of my favorite Christmas presents this year. I was going to get the “bigger” mouse called the MX Revolution (when it was on sale for 50% of the original price), which felt more ergonomically friendly in my hand, but when choosing a mouse I was looking for one with a tiny receiver. Because I tend to bend the larger receivers and USB sticks, my criteria for this new mouse was that it had to have a small receiver (I had been working with an old cord mouse. Well, hey, at least it connected via a USB hub).
The VX Nano was just the mouse for me. I put the receiver into my laptop on December 5th (my Dutch Christmas), and I haven’t taken it out until today in order to take a picture of it. I don’t even notice it in the back of my laptop, and there are never any stresses on it. And just because it’s small doesn’t mean it can’t be powerful– this mouse has 2.4 GHz cordless technology! While my group and I were practicing for a presentation, I wanted to see how far away I could be and still have the mouse work. I’m not quite sure how far down the hallway I went, but I want to say it was over 50 feet! Also, I notice no lag; however, I don’t play games or anything like that on my computer.
Of course, the mouse has other perks to it. You can fly through long PDF files or your ITunes with nearly frictionless scrolling, or you can choose the typical precision scrolling. There are also easily accessible forward and backward buttons, and you can program five buttons to do what you want them to do.
It is such a great mouse, and I highly recommend it.
