Cell Phones, Cyber Culture

apI am not sure if you heard of this thing called the iPhone yet.  It appears to be a world wide phenomenon.  Every cell phone company on the planet is trying to find ways to compete with this monster.  Who cares?

I have played with the LG Dare and the Blackberry Storm with no desire to trade in my iPhone.  Not only do I find the quality superior, Apple has one huge bonus…applications.  There are so many “apps” for fun, networking or even keeping my life together.

My job requires me to know the weather warnings (especially winds), and there is an app for me to check it on the spot without wasting time asking someone inside a building.  I have my entire daily plan one finger tap away.

Beside these two apps alone, I was writing notes to myself in a pad that I would forget about and leave at work or in the car.  Then I would have to make notes at home to make sure I didn’t forget anything.  There was much duplicity in my efforts and life.

I now have an app for my personal blogs and have launched my second book mainly using my iPhone.  I was able to do my final edit on the book through email, post it to my website and even network with others.

LinkedIn, MySpace, and Facebook are frequent stops throughout my day.  Here I have met my marketing person and many others.  It is amazing how productive this phone has made me.  I literally can do all this while waiting for the doctor to pull me out of the waiting room.

Once all the work is done, I can turn to fun and games.  There are my eBay auctions that I monitor and games I play.  Monopoly and a Risk spin-off are two of my favorites.  As a Christian, I even use my phone to supplement my daily studies and search for verses at different times.

Simply stated, I could not function if I lost this miracle of electronic magnificence!  There is no substitution out there to compete with iPhone’s apps.

i imagine it was a bit rushed, and ignored some features that not many people discuss about. Everyone knows that almost all new smartphones have internet, so why show that primary perform at its bear minimum. Scroll up scroll down zoom in zoom out. Really? which new cellphone doesnt try this? How bout talk about how the textual content rearranges itsself. Also the texting, very poor review. Why didnt you mention you should use the mic and textual content together with your voice? Left out ALOT of other more vital features
