appleBoth Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal (via MacRumors) are reporting that Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn is hiring workers ahead of iPhone 5S production. From the Bloomberg report:

“Workers have been recruited at Foxconn’s plant in Zhengzhou, eastern China, for the past month, ending a hiring freeze imposed in February, said the person, who asked not to be named because the plans haven’t been made public. The extra workers will assemble the new device as well as existing models and have been added at Apple’s request to boost capacity, the person said.”

Apple is said to be releasing their next generation iPhone as early as this Summer, perhaps at their annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). The next iPhone is rumored to include an upgraded rear camera, as well as possible fingerprint scanning technology.
