Disk data recovery consists of recovering lost data from damaged or erased floppy or hard drives. Disks record electronic data magnetically. Even if the disk is physically damaged, it is often still possible to perform disk data recovery and recover some or all of the files on the damaged disk. Similarly, even if a disk is erased, it is possible to perform disk data recovery and restore the deleted data. Disk data recovery is generally used to recover important unique files, or as a forensic technique to find incriminating data that someone has tried to erase.

Another interesting piece of hardware is quad core chips.
